Nikki Cobb Transcript
November 2, 2007
Dr. Kent Gustavson: Welcome back to “Sound Authors Radio”. My next guest is Nikki Cobb.
Is Nikki there?
Nikki Cobb: Yes, I am, Kent.
Kent: How are you doing?
Nikki: Doing pretty good.
Kent: Give me a nutshell of what you do every day.
Nikki: What I do every day, is mostly doing phone sessions with people, where I’m tuning into their energy fields at a soul‑level; into what’s going on in their nervous system, looking for any glitches in their nervous system that may be preventing them from moving forward more gracefully into the fulfillment of their destiny.
Kent: You have a new book that’s come out. What’s that called?
Nikki: It’s called, “Your Divine Heritage ‑ Experience the Power of Sacred Love”.
Kent: If I was on the telephone with you, or if I read your book, what would be the first thing that I would experience?
Nikki: Well, the book actually starts with a prayer, and if you were to read that… that’s probably one of the first things that’s going to happen. If I’m doing a private session with you; same thing. We actually start blessing the energy fields, so you are usually going to start to feel a little bit more expanded in your consciousness.
Within the book; one of the things that the book is relative to, is your spiritual resources. What spiritual resources do we have to actually fulfill our destinies? I think that a lot of people have great intentions. They really know that they have a contribution to make, but they just can’t quite grasp it, so they don’t know how to fulfill it. They don’t feel like they have enough support.
Kent: Today is the day after All Saints’ Day, and, of course, Halloween is All Hallows’ Eve. What is your take on what Halloween means? I know it’s a lot of candy, and kids walking around, and good capitalist greed among our children, but what is Halloween to you?
Nikki: [laughs] Halloween is my least favorite holiday, actually, just because it does always depict all those scary kinds of pictures. But to me, on a more “spirit‑level”, Halloween would really be that transition of the seasons. It’s an opening‑up of a doorway between the worlds that… It’s like a crack in the worlds.
There are certain different times within the year, where that doorway between the worlds ‑‑ the spiritual world and the physical world ‑‑ that veil, is thinner, and Halloween is one of them. So it’s a connection to the earth, the elementals, the divas. I think I’d probably look at it more from the pagan sense, and coming at it from more of a connection to the earth itself. A celebration.
Kent: What would you say to a skeptic; someone that said, “The only thing about Halloween that I believe in, is someone who comes to my door dressed in an Eddie Munster mask.” What would you say? How do you teach that person about what you do?
Nikki: I like to personalize it. We can talk philosophy all day long, about spiritual concepts, and stuff, but I think that until you make something more personal for somebody; Do they really have a sense of making that connection with you, and even within themselves?
One of the things that I look at in the book is the “seven families of light”, which is one of our great spiritual resources. When you’re little… If you ever see little babies looking around a room, and you can tell that they are watching something… Babies really see more energy than they do physical matter, which is on a scientific level. But babies actually see the families of light, and other people’s families of light.
So you’ve known them your whole life. When you sleep at night, you’re normally in contact with them, and acting as guides with them.
Out of these seven families of light, one of them is angels, and Dr. Kent, your energy shows up with tremendous heart energy. A lot of the angelic lineage backs you, and so you would literally be like an angel in human form.
It shows that you have a very pure heart, a tremendous amount of compassion that you’ve even expanded in other lifetimes, to the point where it feels like you actually care so much, it almost hurts. I’d imagine that you are to a point in your compassion, that sometimes, you almost have to withdraw a little, in order to cope with the depth of your love, and how much service you would like to render to people.
You have a deep heart energy; angelic lineage that backs you; that archangel, Michael… So you are just there to really fight on people’s behalf, out of that divine love. I think that when you can personalize information, and bring it home to an issue of their childhood, or an aspect of their spiritual consciousness, it makes it more real for somebody.
Kent: I’ve heard a lot about things like enneagrams, and psychological tests that tell you, a certain person for example; I’m an artist, so I tend to be a certain way in my personality. To what extent do you work with people’s personalities? When you talk about energy, I don’t quite understand that. But to what extent are you doing more of the energy search, and all that?
Nikki: With a lot of the enneagrams, and some of those tests… I think that they definitely have a certain level of accuracy where you can see yourself; but at what level, is really the question, you see. If you are being diagnosed by somebody, you are in their belief system; their consciousness about you. Therefore, when you do the tests, it’s going to be somewhat swayed by that. Even when you do the tests for yourself, it’s somewhat swayed by that. I think that, no matter what you do, there’s that to keep in place.
I prefer not to get a lot into people’s personalities, because it’s pretty useless. Most of all, people’s personalities are going to be projections of stuff out of their childhoods, and parental patterns. So what I’m specifically looking for, to bypass the personality, is going to be connection to your soul. Your soul never lies. It’s always present. Everybody has one, and your soul is a truer aspect of who you are in the world, and the gift that you truly have to bring forth. Tying that in with unraveling the childhood issues and patterns that overlap that, that get projected on top.
So, really, I’m trying to look at something more to soul level than on a personality level so that we can actually bring out the best part of who you are, and then detach from the personality and the issues that maybe ‑‑ sometimes just keep you going in circles.
Kent: What got you started in this?
Nikki: Well, I’d imagine it’s probably just the nature of who I am and what I was supposed to do in this lifetime, but when I was younger, I got initiated into Reiki and out of that initiation… which is bringing forth healing energy out of that; it just opened up my intuition.
So it’s dual fold. One was a car accident that I was in when I was younger, and I just… I quit. I just quit my life at that point and stepped back. I quit school and everything when I was 16. That car accident happened at that time. I just chose to start paying attention to the soul. It was the one thing I could trust, that would not lie, that would always be there. Then when I got the Reiki initiation, it’s just that it sparked my clairvoyance. It sparked it open, and it’s just what I’ve done ever since.
Kent: You talked about the power of our love, and I think that’s something we forget a lot on Halloween. We talk about spooks and ghouls and goblins and scary monsters, and we like to scare each other, and that’s fun. But what does the power of our love have to do with that same spirit sense that we have?
Nikki: Well, the presence of your love is what’s going to ignite your destiny. The presence of your love is the golden key to any relationship you have, whether it’s with an angel or to a child or to your partner.
So love is really the magnitude that not only attracts the vibration that’s going to support you in your destiny, whatever that abundance… those needs are, but it’s also the energy that opens up doorways in your energy fields. So love is really like a golden key in the universe that allows you the freedom to express your… the divine essence of who you are.
Kent: So what do you do on Halloween?
Nikki: [laughing] I don’t do anything on Halloween. I really don’t like Halloween. I just watch movies or I work or whatever, but I’m just… Halloween is just not my holiday, I’m afraid.
The one thing about it I think that is cool is just… like Butch was talking about. I just caught the very end of that conversation in terms of where it does bring people together, the hayrides and that end‑of‑the‑season harvest, I think is awesome. I think the community aspect of bringing people together is great, but the sugar, the candy, and the scary things just really get to me, I’m afraid.
And Butch’s idea about starting his own business is brilliant. He’s really more of a “star being” presence, and being a star being, they are very futuristic. They are entrepreneurs naturally. They’re very ‑‑ just very highly talented, creative individuals, and he’d probably be extremely successful in his ideas, stepping into his own business and the amount of creativity he could bring to an experience for people and the success it would bring to him in return.
Kent: Tell us a little bit about your book. Give us a commercial for your book.
Nikki: Yeah. It is available at Amazon.com, Barnes & Noble. You can go out to my website, nikkicobb.com, and place an order there for it. The book is divided up, really, into two sections.
The first half is going to be relevant to teaching you how to move within your own consciousness, your own dimensional bodies, which would be your soul, the feeling part of you having this human experience, your higher self, which is the guide looking at the perfected visions of your life, your “Iron presence, ” which is your inner authority, and the cosmic presence, which is the part of you that sits in the heart of God. So it’s really good to know how to tap into other elements instead of your own energy field, to be able to tap into your own inner guidance system.
Then the second half of the book is based on exploring the seven families of light, being cosmic avatars, galactic councils, planetary light beings, star tribes, the angelic host, ascended masters in the nature kingdom. You bring it all together and it gives you a good description of what these people are like and what your resources are and how to communicate, what your gifts are.
So it’s just a book based on your spiritual resources to really facilitate being able to choose your destiny and the love that it would take to do that.
Kent: So we can choose our own destiny?
Nikki: Yeah. You have to love yourself enough to choose it, is the big deal. Most people get so caught up in the patterns of their lives, that they get distracted from the one most important thing, which is their love for their own divine presence, and then out of that love, everything else would work out fine.
Kent: Are you available through your website to have conversations with people as well?
Nikki: Yes, I am. You email me, and I’ll be happy to email you back and give you times available and stuff. Yeah, I would be happy to do that.
Kent: Visit our guest Nikki Cobb on the web at www.nikkicobb.com. She has a book there. She’s available to speak to. It’s nice to talk about spirits that aren’t necessarily evil. We’re talking about the spirits of love. It’s been great chatting with you today, Nikki.
Nikki: Well, thank you very much, Dr. Kent.
Kent: My next guest is John Stanley. His new book is called, “I Was A TV Horror Host, ” and he is back to the other side of Halloween, the horror side. So I’ll be back on subject.
